The LFLL Board of Directors is excited to announce that we will continue to offer a Select Team Program for the Fall 2026 season.
OVERVIEW
Lake Forest Select Baseball (Heroes) is designed for those advanced players who are wanting to play at a higher, more competitive level for the Fall 2026 season. Participation will be based on selection after a competitive tryout. The season will run from September-December.
ELIGIBILITY AND COMMITMENT
- We plan on having teams for ages 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U
- League Age is determined by the Spring 2026 league age chart + 1 year
- For example, if your player's birthday is Feb 2016, their league age is 11U
- While we encourage our youth to play all different sports, those participating in our Select program are strongly suggested to make Heroes baseball their priority when it conflicts with other practices or games
- To be eligible for the fall 2026 season, you must play in the LFLL Spring 2027 season (non-refundable deposit towards Spring registration required)
- To submit interest, please fill out this 2026 LFLL Select Team Interest Form & enroll in a Fall Ball Program
TEAM SELECTION
- Tryouts will be held at Heroes Park field #2 on Sunday June 14th from 9 am to 2 pm. Time slots can be submitted via Sign Up Genius
- If a player cannot make the 14th, a make up session will be held at the same location on June 28th in the afternoon, details TBD.
- After tryouts, a committee will select the teams. There will be 10-12 players per team.
- Unfortunately, not everyone will make the team. For those who do not make the team we highly encourage you to play in Lake Forest Little League Fall Ball, however we will allow 72 hours for you to request a full refund for your Fall Ball registration fee via email to [email protected]
COACHES
- Coaches are volunteers and will be selected carefully by a committee of Lake Forest Little League Board Members.
PRACTICE
- Practices will start mid August
- Dates and times will be determined by the coaches at a later time.
FIELD SIZE
- 11U, 12U & 13U play 50/70 field
- 9U & 10U play 46/60 (same as Little League).
FINANCIAL COMMITMENT
- Fall 2026 Registration Fee for Lake Forest Little League
- $250 Select Program Fee (if your player makes a Select team)
- $250 Deposit (Non-refundable) to go towards Spring 2027 Registration fees for Lake Forest Little League
SUMMARY
We had a very successful inaugural season and we are looking forward to another year of competitive baseball and more advanced player development. Though we know there are other select/travel programs, we are confident that we can provide your player with a higher level of competition and coaching, for a much lower cost and have a majority, if not all, games in Orange County.
